Global award winning media company is seeking a Director of Human Resources. The Director of HR will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies and operations that are aligned with company business plans. A key aspect of this role will be to enhance competitive advantages and develop company strategies and initiatives on all people-related issues.
Originally known for their advertising success, this company has grown to succeed in several other creative fields, including music videos, TV programs, web content, documentary films, feature films, graphic design and animation, and still photography.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all daily HR operations for NYC office
• Partner with C-level executives to implement HR policies, programs, and practices
• Lead or work on HR projects with a local/global impact as needed
• Establish strong business partnerships
• Research and recommend progressive initiatives that will enhance organization effectiveness
• Act as business partner to facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues
• Stay up to date on market compensation or comparable roles
• Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees
• Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results and modify programs as needed
• Develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
• Create new orientation sessions for new hires
• Provide training, coaching, and act as a point of reference for annual performance reviews
• Coach managers on performance issues
• Assist managers in development of performance improvement plans and supporting them to proactively manage any performance issues
Qualifications:
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and relevant work experience required
• 10-15 years of proven Generalist experience, training and development is a plus
• Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues and develop solutions to business demands
• Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues
• Knowledge of applicable HR standards, practices, procedures, regulations, and government law
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the human resources staff.
• Advertising, Production, Studio, Digital, or Design industry experience is required
Salary: $150-170K
